EDMOND, Oklahoma – The Ouachita women's swimming & diving team took third of eight teams this weekend at the Sam Freas Invitational hosted by Oklahoma Christian.
The Tigersharks were among prominent NCAA Division II teams Oklahoma Christian, Nebraska-Kearney, UT-Permian Basin and Southwest Baptist along with other schools in Saint Mary and Sterling College, plus the inclusion of D1 North Texas.
Among the top finishes for Ouachita included junior All-American
Anna Phelps winning the 200 butterfly and finishing second in the 500 freestyle. Freshman
Kaitlyn Koenig took home second in the 200 freestyle, followed up by a third-place finish from freshman teammate
Eden LaTurno. Senior captain
Jameson Tankersley finished 2nd in the 200 backstroke.
The women's team will be back in action this upcoming Saturday, October 4 as the alumni of Ouachita swimming & diving come to town for the annual alumni meet.
