ARKADELPHIA – The Ouachita women's soccer team opens the 2025 season on Friday on the road against Northeastern State.
Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. on Friday in Tahlequah. This is the fifth straight season and 10th overall since 2014 that Ouachita and NSU have met in the early part of the season. The Tigers are seeking their first win over the Riverhawks since 2007.
Ouachita returns 15 letterwinners from last year's squad that won the GAC regular season championship and then won the league's tournament championship to earn the program's second straight trip to the NCAA tournament.
Highlighting those returning include All-GAC first team forward
Reese Brown and second team midfielder
Allison Reece. A total of 11 newcomers were added to the roster, including three with NCAA Division I experience.
Kevin Wright is back for his 14th season leading the program.
Following Friday's game against NSU, the Tigers return to Arkadelphia for a home game on Sunday against Midwestern State.
