BOLIVAR, Missouri – The Ouachita women's swim team topped Southwest Baptist in a dual meet on Friday afternoon, 135.5-65.5.
Sophie Derby and
McKenzie Jones led the Tigersharks, contributing 13 points each. Derby placed first in the 100M Free (1:03.46) and second in the 50M Free (28.82). Jones added a first-place finish in the 800M Free (9:49.66) and second-place finish in the 100M Free (1:05.82).
Aurora Ruiz added 12 points after placing first in the 400M IM (5:26.42) and third in the 200M Back (2:33.51).
The quartet of
Britta Andruss,
Linzay Taylor, Derby, and
Anna Phelps placed second in the 200M Free Relay (1:54.05). The relay team of Jack Wenglarski, Grant Copen, Owen McCall, and Martinez took third in the 400M Medley Relay (4:04.29).
Ouachita will take on Truman State in a dual meet on Saturday, October 24 at 11 a.m. in Kirksville.
