BENTONVILLE, Arkansas – The Great American Conference announced its all-conference teams and yearly award winners for women's tennis on Friday night with Ouachita's
Alice Kubler and
Ruxandra Tolescu making the list.
Kubler earned a spot on the All-GAC First Team after going 4-0 in singles in conference matches this season. Overall this past spring, Kubler had six singles wins. In addition to four wins at No. 4, the sophomore from Adelaide, Australia added one win at No. 2 and another at No. 3.
In doubles, Kubler finished the spring at 8-11, including a 2-2 mark in conference matchups. Her most frequent doubles partner this season was
Jaelyn Walker.
Tolescu was selected to the All-GAC honorable mention team after leading the Tigers this season in singles wins with seven, including three wins in conference play. The junior from Bucharest, Romania was a part of three doubles victories this year, twice with
Natalia Zamora Caprirolo and the other with
Jenny Pfaefflin.
The GAC also released its academic honor roll for women's tennis on Friday including student-athletes in the league with at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA in at least their second year in college. Ouachita's honorees include
Marlee Bledsoe,
Karli Gay, Kubler,
Anastasia Myachina, Pfaefflin, Tolescu, and Zamora Caprirolo.
