SHAWNEE, Oklahoma – The Ouachita volleyball team came up short in both of its matches on Friday on Day 2 of the GAC/MIAA Crossover Challenge.
The Tigers opened the day with a three-set loss to Fort Hays State and finished with the same result against Pitt State.
Against FHSU, set scores were 25-16, 25-19, and 25-18.
Ruby Farris led the offensive attack for the purple Tigers with her second double digit kills performance of her freshman campaign with 10.
Kylie Craven added six kills.
Leah Gardner and
Kailey Thedford each had five.
Mack Bidwell finished with 24 assists.
Kylie Kisgen paced the back row with 19 digs.
Set scores against the Gorillas were 25-20, 25-12, and 25-18.
Sophie Henry led the offensive attack with 12 kills and a .381 hitting percentage. Craven added another six kills in the nightcap. Bidwell finished with 25 assists and six digs. Kisgen totaled 21 digs for her first match of the season with at least 20.
The Tigers wrap up their stay in Oklahoma with a short trip over to Edmond to take on 22nd-ranked Central Oklahoma on Saturday. First serve is set for 1 p.m.
