ARKADELPHIA – The Ouachita men's cross country team opened the 2026 season on Saturday with a dominating showing on its home course at the annual Bob Gravett Invitational.
The Tigers placed seven of the top eight runners and finished the 5K race with a score of 17, which was 34 points ahead of second-place Southern Arkansas.
Sophomore
Caleb Greenwich led the pack with a time of 15:16.6.
Matthew Thurman came in second in his collegiate debut with a time of 15:28.9.
Gabriel Metoyer finished third at 15:36.5.
Nick Wheeler,
Isaac Pohlmeier,
Ethan Lacy, and
Lane Saul took the five through eight spots, respectively.
Zach Van Lear rounded out the top 10.
Ouachita is back in action next Friday, September 18 at the Lois Davis Invitational hosted by Southern Arkansas.
