Ouachita Baptist University Athletics

Brady Carson made his return to Ouachita as defensive coordinator and linebackers coach in January of 2025.

Carson’s first tenure at Ouachita was from 2020-21 as outside linebackers coach.

Prior to his return to Arkadelphia, Carson was the special teams coordinator, co-defensive coordinator, and linebackers coach at Belhaven University for the 2024 season. He also coached at the University of Texas-Permian Basin during the 2023 season as special teams coordinator and linebackers coach. He coached at Georgetown College in 2022 as the linebackers coach.

Carson got his start in coaching at his alma mater, Birmingham Southern College, where served for three years as an undergraduate assistant coach working with linebackers and defensive backs.

The Fyffe, Alabama native earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics at BSC in 2020. He earned a master’s degree in educational leadership from Henderson State University in 2022. He and is finance, Bailey Bradshaw, are set to be married in May of 2025.
