Josh Miller

Josh Miller was hired as Ouachita’s safeties coaches in January of 2025.

The Kokomo, Mississippi native came to Arkadelphia from Lamar University, where he was the defensive backs coach while also earning a master’s degree in sports nutrition, which he completed in 2024. He got his start in coaching at the NCAA Division II level at Mississippi College in 2022 as the wide receivers coach. He earned his first graduate degree at MC in 2023 with a master’s degree in athletic administration.

During his undergraduate career, Miller started at Jackson State University in 2016 before missing the 2017 season with an injury. He went on to earn all-conference honors as a safety at East Mississippi Community College and helped his team win the NJCAA national championship with a perfect 12-0 record in 2018. He wrapped up his playing career at Mississippi College and earned a bachelor’s degree in general kinesiology in 2021.
