Whit Jones in his third season on staff with Ouachita football and his first season as the running backs coach.
In his first year in 2023, Jones coached special teams and added coaching receivers to his duties for the 2024 GAC championship season.
Jones helped coach two-time All-GAC receiver Connor Flannigan, who finished his career as one of the top three receivers in school history. On the special teams side of the ball, Jones has helped coach seven All-GAC performers, including Flannigan and Carter McElhany, who were two of the best return specialists in the nation. He's also coached All-GAC kickers Gabe Goodman and Dax Jaggers, All-Region punter Joe Couch, and two-time All-GAC special teams selection Brock Baker.
Prior to Ouachita, Jones spent time as an assistant coach at Sheridan High School. The Malvern, Arkansas native played college football in the GAC at Southern Arkansas University.
