Ashleigh Harris has been on staff at Ouachita since the fall of 2017 when she was hired as an assistant athletic trainer. She was promoted to head athletic trainer in 2020, and then to assistant athletic director for athletic training in 2024.
Since her start with the Tigers, Harris has worked with all 18 of Ouachita's athletic teams in various capacities. She leads a staff of three full-time assistant athletic trainers and many student assistants that provide comprehensive athletic training services to more than 500 Tiger student-athletes, catering to the prevention, assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of injuries and illnesses. She is also a part of the administrative leadership team for the athletic department.
Originally from St. Peters, Missouri, Harris played soccer at Emporia State University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in 2015. She earned a master’s degree from Missouri Western State University in 2017. She is a board-certified athletic trainer and is a member of the National Athletic Training Association. She holds certifications in first aid, CPR, and dry needling (DN-1), and is a certified performance exercise specialist (PES).
