Brian Ramsey joined the Ouachita Baptist University athletics department staff in September of 2021.
Ramsey started his career in collegiate athletics as a student assistant in the sports information office at Arkansas Tech University in the mid 2000s. He had a brief stint across the street at Henderson State University in 2007 as a graduate assistant before becoming the youngest sports information director in the nation at the time when he was hired at the University of Arkansas at Monticello in December of 2007.
At UAM, Ramsey was the SID from 2007-11 before joining the Great American Conference staff for its inaugural season of 2011-12 as the league's assistant commissioner for communications. The Harrison, Arkansas native returned to UAM in 2012 as assistant athletic director for communications, and was later promoted to associate athletic director for operations.
Ramsey stepped away from athletics in 2017, working in radio broadcasting for two years and then working full time in ministry as the director of ministry support at First Baptist Church in Monticello for two years before coming to Ouachita.
He and his wife, Lori, have two sons, Cordae and Joe Mark. Brian is a 2007 graduate of Arkansas Tech. Lori is back at home with two degrees from Ouachita.
