Chris Lawson enters his third season as the head coach for the Ouachita men's soccer program in 2022. He was promoted to head coach in August of 2020 after serving three seasons as assistant coach.
Since taking over the program, Lawson has coached six All-Great American Conference performers, and in both seasons, led the Tigers to double-digits in the number of GAC All-Academic Team honorees, including 14 during the 2021-22 year.
Prior to joining the Ouachita staff, Lawson was the head coach for the Lincoln United Football Club in Nebraska for the 2017-18 season following a two-year stint as an assistant women's soccer coach at Doane University in Crete, Nebraska and a one-year stop as the goalkeeper coach for the Buxmont Torch FC in Dublin, Pennsylvania.Â
Lawson is a 2014 graduate of Bryan College in Dayton, Tennessee with a bachelor's degree in business management. He was a two-year letterman for the Lions as a goalkeeper. The Forest, Virginia native earned a master's degree in management from Doane University in 2020.Â
