Record at Ouachita: 26-25-2

Jones has been head of the Ouachita men’s soccer program since the 2015 season. Over that time span Jones has accumulated a record of 26-25-2 at Ouachita and a 77-61-7 overall record. The 26 career wins at Ouachita makes Jones the All-Time leader in coaching wins. While at Ouachita, Jones has won the Great American Conference Regular Season Championship once in 2015, and has won the GAC Tournament Championship Twice (2015, 2017). The Tigers have also finished runner-up twice in the Conference in both 2016 and 2017.

The two-time GAC Coach of the Year, Jones has lead the Tigers to a No. 15 National ranking in 2017 and the team finished No. 3 in the Regional Rankings in 2016. The Tigers have also been No. 1 in the GAC in goals against average in every season Jones has coached. Ouachita was also No. 1 in goals allowed in the 2015 and 2016 seasons.

Jones has also produced quality players in a short time at Ouachita. Tinashe Chigede was a 3-time All-Region selection and was the GAC Offensive Player of the Year in 2017. Tyler Mouton became the Tigers first ever All-American in 2016. Mouton was also a three time GAC First Team Defender (2015-17), the GAC Defensive Player of the Year in 2016 and a two-time All- Region selection. Edward Pacheco has been named GAC Goalkeeper of the Year for three consecutive seasons (2015-17).
Before his arrival at Ouachita, Jones coached two squads to the ASC Playoffs, Howard Payne (2010) and the University of the Ozarks (2014). Jones made a NCAA Division II Sweet 16 Appearance with Midwestern State in 2013.

During his playing days at the Ozarks, Jones helped guide his team to three ASC Playoff appearances (05, 06 and 08), a Regular Season Runner Up finish in 2005 and a 58-18-10 overall record. Jones was also named a two-time ASC All-Academic Team member.

Jones is married to Ouachita Baptist women’s tennis coach Rachel Jones and together they have a son, Hayes Oliver.
