Following one of the best playing careers in program history, Madeleine Tipton moved over to the coaching staff starting in the 2026-27 season.
Tipton was a four-year letterwinner for the Tigers from 2022-26 and finished with her name littered all around the program's record book. Among the many spots she holds in the Ouachita top 10 lists, she is fifth all-time in scoring (1,438 points), sixth in career field goals made (483), and third in career three-pointers made (196). Her 452 points as a senior in 2025-26 ranks eighth for a single-season.Â
The Vilonia, Arkansas native earned All-Great American Conference three times in her career. She was also a three-time recipient of the GAC Elite Scholar Athlete Award and a three-time selection to the Academic All-District Team.Â
Tipton graduated from Ouachita in May of 2026 with an unblemished 4.0 GPA and a bachelor's degree in kinesiology and education. She is currently pursuing a master's degree at Ouachita in curriculum and instruction.
