Davis joined Ouachita volleyball in the summer of 2021 after five years as the assistant volleyball coach and eight years as the head men’s and women’s bowling coach at nearby Lakeside High School (Hot Springs, Ark.). While at Lakeside, he coached volleyball for one season under Babbs Blaggs and then four seasons under Allison Frizzell-Kizer. While under both coaches, the Lakeside team went undefeated in conference play while recording over 120 wins for the five years. Davis’ role as the assistant was player development with an emphasis on physical and mental wellbeing.Â

Davis’ women’s bowing teams were conference runner-up twice as well as state runner-up once during his time at Lakeside. His men’s team won state twice and runner-up once. They won conference five of his eight years with one conference runner-up. In 2019 Davis was selected as Arkansas’ Bowling Coach of the Year.

Davis was in education for 14 years teaching middle school (6th-8th) at Sheridan School District for four years and ten in the High School (8th-12th) at Lakeside School District. Davis taught various levels of art including AP Art and AP Art History.Â

Davis’ daughter, McKaila, a high school All-State runner in Cross Country and Track, is a sophomore at the University of Arkansas Double majoring in Exercise Science and Fine Arts.Â
