AT NORTHEASTERN JC: Played in 30 games with 26 starts at Northeastern Junior College in his hometown of Sterling, Colorado. Reached double-digits scoring in 21 games. Scored over 20 points four times, including a season-best performance with 27 points on 9-of-11 shooting from beyond the arc against Air Force Prep. McConnell shot 41% from the floor, 39% from 3-point range. He led Northeastern JC shooting 90% from the charity stripe and 2.4 made 3-pointers per game as a sophomore.

PREP: Tri-athlete at Sterling High School in Colorado. 3x All-Conference, 2x All-State. As a senior, averaged 18.1 points, 7.9 rebounds and 4.5 assists. Reached 20 points 10 times during senior season, including a pair of 27-point performances. Scored over 1,000 career points, grabbed over 500 career rebounds and dished out over 300 career assists.
