Eva Baumgardner joined the Ouachita volleyball coaching staff in February of 2026, bringing with her three years of coaching experience and a lifetime of playing experience, including four years at the NCAA Division II level.
Her coaching career includes three years as the head coach for the Mountain Monsters Volleyball Club, while at the same time leading clinics and private lessons for girls ages 11-18.
Baumgardner lettered four seasons at NCAA Division II member West Virginia State University, where she was a team captain her senior year and member of the Mountain East Conference championship team in 2024. Her team made the NCAA tournament in 2023 and 2024.
Born in Georgia, Baumgardner went on to play for Brookstone High School and also played for the A5 Volleyball Club and PAC Volleyball Club.
Baumgardner graduated from West Virginia State with a bachelor’s degree in business administration with concentrations in agriculture and marketing. She and her husband, Tyrus, have a dachshund named Spencer.
