Rothwell has served as the Ouachita Baptist University Faculty Athletic Representative to the NCAA for the past five years. Jim graduated from Ouachita in 1978 and returned to serve on faculty in 1981. In between he completed an MBA from Louisiana Tech University and taught in the accounting department at the University of Central Arkansas for two years. He currently serves as Assistant Dean of the Hickingbotham School of Business and as an Assistant Professor of Accounting. He is a CPA (inactive) and has 12 years of part-time experience in internal auditing. Besides serving as the FAR for Ouachita Jim is involved in sports on the local level serving as statistician and commentator for the media crew that broadcasts the Arkadelphia high school football games on Friday nights for over 15 years. He is married to his wife Melanie and together the couple has two grown children.
