Tyler Doyle joined the Ouachita women's basketball staff as assistant coach in August of 2025.
Doyle brought 10 years of coaching experience with him to Arkadelphia, most recently as assistant women's basketball coach at Ranger College in Texas for two years, helping orchestrate a plus five win margin from year one to year two while coaching six all-conference performers and one all-region selection.Â
During the 2022-23 season, Doyle was an assistant women's basketball coach at Houston Christian University, where he coached two All-Southland Conference selections and three players who went on to sign professional basketball contracts overseas.
Doyle got his start in coaching on the men's side as a student assistant at Louisiana Tech University from 2015-17 which turned into the director of basketball operations role with the Bulldogs in the 2017-18 season and then director of player development with the program from 2018-20.Â
During the 2020-21 season, Doyle moved into a coaching role as the men's assistant coach at Panola College, which then led to LSU-Alexandria in the 2021-22 season. Doyle stepped into the head coach seat on an interim basis during that season and led the Generals to an 8-0 record and a national ranking as high as No. 11.Â
Doyle holds two degrees from LA Tech - a bachelor's degree in sports marketing finished in 2017 and a master's degree in business administration finished in 2020.
