Men's Soccer falls to Harding 2-1

SEARCY, AR- The Ouachita Baptist men's soccer team (1-3) traveled to Searcy to face off against Harding (2-1-1) on Friday. The Tigers were looking to rebound after a tough weekend in which they received losses at the hands of Lynn University and Northeastern State.

The Tigers traded blows with Harding in the first half, having to answer to a Harding goal that was scored at the 19:42 mark of the game by the Bisons' Josh Ireland off of an assist by Ryan Wilhelm. The goal came off of a rebound from a penalty kick. The Tigers then answered the goal by the Bison by scoring one of their own at the 30:09 mark of the first half. The Tigers scored on a header by Sergiu Postolache, which was assisted by Nathan Gay. It was Postolache's second goal of the season.

In the second half, the scoring was tough to come by, the only goal coming by Harding at the 76:59 point of the game by Ian Park off an assist by Cameron Rose.

During the contest, Harding was called for 21 fouls while Ouachita was called for 24. Both teams received three yellow cards but no ejections were made. Both teams were only called for offsides once. Ouachita took a total of 12 shots in the game to Harding's 14.

The Tigers look to rebound from their tough three game stretch when they travel to Dallas on Sunday to take on Texas A&M-International in a neutral site game. That match-up will begin at 3:00.
