ARKADELPHIA, Ark.- Former Ouachita Tiger Phillip Supernaw has signed a free agent contract with the Houston Texans of the National Football League. Supernaw signed with the Texans following his 2011 season in which he garnered All-Great American Conference Second Team honors and helped lead the Tigers to the inaugural Great American Conference Championship.

Todd Knight. "His talent level, coupled with his work ethic, are sure to provide him the same success at the professional level that he experienced at the college level."
The Katy, Texas native was a four-year starter for the Tigers, including his 2011 season in which he recorded 22 receptions for 301 yards and three touchdowns. He averaged 30.1 receiving yards per game and 13.7 yards per catch throughout the season.
Supernaw has already reported to Houston, as he participated in his first workout with his new team. He joined eight draft picks and 20 other free agents during the fifth week of the Texans' voluntary offseason workout program.
He will be participating in organized team activities with the team beginning on May 21 which will lead up to the team's minicamp on June 12-14.
