Men's Soccer Drops Road Contest to Harding

Box Score HARDING, Ark.- The Ouachita men's soccer team (1-3) traveled to Searcy on Friday for a match-up with former conference foe Harding (2-1). The Tigers had a number of opportunities in the game, in fact, only taking one less shot than the Bisons, but were unable to capitalize, falling to Harding by a final score of 2-0.

Ouachita's David Henley started at goalkeeper, recording three saves in the game. Rizvan Ceka took eight shots in the game, two of which were on goal. Jason Cantwell, Taylor Heinsohn and Clayton Case all registered shots on goal for the Tigers as well, but all were stifled by Harding goalkeeper Chase Keeney.

Keeney recorded five saves in the game, stopping all five of the Tigers' shots on goal. Shea McGee and Christopher Walker contributed goals for the Bisons, pushing Harding to victory.

The Tigers took 14 shots in the game, five of which were on goal, while Harding took 15, also finishing with five shots on goal. The game seemed to be pretty even among all aspects, as the Tigers took six corner kicks with Harding taking five. Ouachita was called for seven fouls in the contest, with Harding committing five of their own.

The Tigers look to rebound on Monday, September 10, when they travel to Conway for a contest against Central Baptist College. That game is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.
