Box Score ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – The Lady Tigers lost their second consecutive road conference game last Saturday against the Southeastern Oklahoma State Savage Storm 65-55. Despite a strong second half, the Lady Tigers came up short and dropped to 0-4 on the season.
Turnovers were a key in the match-up for both teams. The Lady Tigers committed 20 turnovers in the game, only one more than Southeastern's 19, however the Storm were able to capitalize on the Lady Tiger mistakes. Southeastern outscored Ouachita 25-11 in points off turnovers.
Down seven, the Lady Tigers were able to close the gap with improved shooting in the second half and tied the game at 40-40 with just under twelve minutes left to play. Back-to-back three's by the Storm would give Southeastern the lead for good and the Lady Tigers were unable to get closer than three points late on the game.
Leading the Tigers in scoring was senior guard
Nashia James with 14 points. She also led the Lady Tigers in rebounds with eight.
Katie Kapler and
Katherine West each scored eight points and
Elise Holman added seven points to go along with four assists.
The Lady Tigers will play at home on Sunday, Dec. 1 at Bill Vining Arena against Midwestern State University (3-3). Tipoff is set for 2:00 p.m.
