ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – The 24
th ranked OBU Men's Tiger Tennis team suffered their first loss of the season on Saturday, falling 7-2 to the 29
th ranked Drury University Panthers.
Marko Boskovic, Division II's third ranked singles player, fell to Drury's Andy Blair in three sets (6-3, 2-6, 6-4).
Teodor Anghel Valentin,
Maciej Braciszewicz,
Andre Stefano and
Nathan Street all came up short in their singles matches, as well.
Ouachita's
Vitor Oliveira, Division II's 19
th ranked singles player, picked up the only singles win for the Tigers, defeating Maximilian Hepp 6-3, 5-7, 4-1. Oliveira then teamed up with Boskovic to grab an 8-5 doubles win. Oliveira and Boskovic are the third ranked doubles team in Division II.
The Tigers will travel to Lawton, Okla. on Feb. 27 for a match against Washburn University.
