Box Score Arkadelphia, Ark. - It was a case of deja-vu for Henderson State, as
Micah Delph hit a shot with less than a second on the clock to give the Ouachita Tigers a win over their arch-rivals. Delph's three-pointer with 2.4 seconds left, capped off a 19-point second half and gave the Tigers a 59-58 win.
Neither team shot particularly well in the first half. The Tigers were 10-27 from the floor and shot only 18% from beyond the arc. Henderson fared no better, going 9-24 from the floor and 20% from three-point range.
Colt Fason led the Tigers at halftime with nine points and three rebounds.
Going into the second half, the Tigers trailed 27-28.
HSU opened the second half with a 10-2 run in the opening four minutes of play. Henderson State would hold off several OBU runs in the second half. The Tigers would get within two, but HSU would respond with a run of their own, keeping the lead around eight points.
Micah Delph led the second half charge for Ouachita, hitting key shots to keep Henderson State from putting the game out of reach.
With just under five minutes,
Colt Fason would score on a jumper off a Delph assist to tie the game at 53-53. HSU's Reggie Murphy would score the next five points and give the Reddies a 58-53 lead. However, Murphy would foul Delph on a three-point attempt with eight seconds left to play, sending Delph, a 93% free-throw shooter to the line.
Delph would sink all three, making it a two point game.Tthe Tigers would foul Reddie Kevin Kozan who missed the front end of the one-and-one. Delph secured the rebound with seven seconds left and brought the ball up court. He fired a three-pointer from the top of the key with 2.4 seconds left, draining it and stopping the clock with .6 seconds left to play.
HSU would attempt a desperation cross-court pass, but Fason was their for the steal and the clock expired with the Tigers winning 59-58 and sweeping the cross-street rivalry.
MIcah Delph finished with 24 points, eight rebounds, five assists and three steals.
Colt Fason finished with 17 points and nine boards.
Senior guard Eric Braueuer finished with two points, seven assists, four rebounds, two steals and two blocks.

The Tigers travel to Monticello this Saturday to play the regular-season finale against the Bollweevils of UAM. Tipoff is scheduled for 4:00 pm.
