Box Score ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - After 110 minutes and a goal from each team, the Ouachita Tigers men's soccer team and the Texas A&M International DustDevils ended their match in a 1-1 draw on Sunday.
The first half proved to be a defensive battle, as neither team could net a goal. The Tigers attempted four shots in the half, while the DustDevils recorded six.
In the 55th minute of the match, Ouachita's Kaleb Banning connected with Tinashe Chigede that put Chigede one-on-one with TAMIU's keeper. Chigede finished the play, giving the Tigers the first goal of the match and a 1-0 lead. The goal was Chigede's third of the season, and Banning recorded his second assist.
After 16 minutes of scoreless play, A&M International scored the equalizer, bringing the match to 1-1. Despite five shots in the last 15 minutes of regular time, neither team could take the lead, and the match went into overtime.
During the two periods of overtime, the DustDevils recorded six shots, while the Tigers recorded two. Ouachita's David Henley saved both of TAMIU's shots on target during extra play, and the teams ended in a 1-1 tie.
Chigede, along with Ryan Trayner, led the Tigers with three shots each. Tyler Mouton and Gideon Onguti each recorded two shots, as well.
Henley spent all 90 minutes at keeper for Ouachita and recorded a total of six saves.
The Tigers (3-5-1) will host Delta State University on Friday, Oct. 2. The match is scheduled for 3 p.m.
