Tahlequah, Okla. - The Ouachita Tigers men's soccer team came up short on Thursday, falling to Northeastern State 2-1. Ouachita sits at 3-8 overall, but remain at the top of the GAC with a 2-1 conference record.
Ouachita held a 1-0 lead at the end of the first period. After a Northeastern foul at the 31-minute mark,
Tyler Mouton sent the ball into the middle on the free kick.
Ryan Blue connected with a header from the right side of the box for his first goal of the season. Keeper
Jarrod Collins recorded three saves in the first half, finishing with eight in the game.
Northeastern outshot the Tigers 14-3 in the second period, scoring twice to give them the 2-1 lead. The Tigers had opportunites late to tie the game. Mouton has a shot stopped by the Riverhawks keeper late in the second period and
