ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - One day before the inaugural Great American Conference Men's Soccer Championships, the league announced its All-Conference Teams and individual superlative awards. Ouachita's Edward Pacheco and
Wilson Jones took home the Goalkeeper and Coach of the Year accolades. Ouachita was presented with the inaugural GAC Men's Soccer regular season cup after their 4-1-1 finish in conference play.
Pacheco and Jones helped the Tigers take home the GAC regular-season title. Pacheco posted a 4-0-1 record against GAC opposition with a 1.34 goals-against average and a shutout in those contests. Jones, in his first season with the Tigers, guided the program to the top seed for the upcoming GAC Men's Soccer Championships.
Seven Tigers earned All-GAC honors.
Tinashe Chigede and
Tyler Mouton were unanimous First Team All-GAC selections. They were joined on the First Team All-GAC by teammates
Brandon Hom,
Colton Huie and Pacheco.
Sewell Yost and
Gideon Onguti were named Second Team All-GAC.
As part of the Crafton Tull Scholar Student-Athlete awards program, Ouachita's
Dillon Farrell,
Logan Hampton,
Brandon Hom and
Tyler Mouton received the Distinguished Scholar Student-Athlete as all six boasted at least a 3.70 GPA.
