Box Score ARKADELPHIA, Ark. -
Katie Kapler shot 10-17 from the floor to score 23 points and pulled down eight rebounds, but the Ouachita Lady Tigers could not overcome a poor first half of shooting and fell 71-60 to Southeastern Oklahoma State University.
Both teams shot poorly to start the first half, combining to go 2-22 from the floor in the first nine minutes of the game. Although Southeastern led for most of the first half, Ouachita stayed close never trailing by more than six until late in the half. With just over four minutes to play,
Breanna Harris hit a jumper to cut the lead to three. Southeastern responded with a 9-2 run, extending their lead to 10, 32-22.
The Lady Tigers shot much better in the second half, led by Kapler's 7-10 from the floor. Unfortunately, Southeastern shot 50% from the floor in the second half, preventing the Lady Tigers from retaking the lead. Ouachita got within two points with 13:36 to play, but a 10-0 Southeastern run would put the game away.
