CLINTON, Miss. - The Ouachita Tigers women's soccer team traveled to Mississippi College on Saturday for their final non-conference game of 2015. Despite taking a 1-0 lead into halftime, the Tigers would fall 2-1. Ouachita will enter conference play next week with a record of 1-4.
Ouachita jumped out to an early first-half lead when
Miranda Hudleston got the ball to
Haley Hatcher at the 15:23 mark. Hatcher's strike found the back of the Choctaw net, giving her her third goal of the season. It was Hudleston's first assist this season. Tiger keeper
Lauren Llanes stopped all four of the Choctaw's shots on goal in the first half.Â
MIssissippi College found an answer to the Tigers defense in the second half. They outshot the Tigers 10-1 in the period, with two of those getting past Llanes, giving the Choctaw's a 2-1 lead.Â
The Tigers will open conference play at home on Thursday, September 24 at Kluck Fied. Ouachita hosts the Southern Nazarene Crimson Storm. The match will start at 2:00 p.m.Â
