AUSTIN, Texas - The Ouachita Tigers men's soccer team ended their Texas road trip in Austin today against the 15th-ranked Hilltoppers of St. Edwards University. Ouachita's offensive attack managed only one shot on goal in the match, while the Hilltoppers scored six times, dropping the Tigers to 1-5 on the season.
Trailing 2-0 in the second half, Ouachita managed only four shots in the second period to St. Edwards 12. The Tigers lone shot on goal came off the foot of
Colten Clark with just over seven minutes left to play.
Tinashe Chigede led all Tigers with three shots in the game.
Jarrod Collins got the start in net for Ouachita, playing all 90 minutes. He recorded six saves against six goals allowed.
The Tigers will open conference play at home on Thursday, September 24 at Kluck Fied. Ouachita hosts the Southern Nazarene Crimson Storm. The match will start at 4:00 p.m.
