ARKADELPHIA, Ark. –The Ouachita Tigers women's soccer team defeated Northwestern Oklahoma State by a final score of 2-1. The Tigers accrued an outstanding 32 shots in the game. Ouachita's record now stands at 3-5-1 on the season and 3-1 in the Great American Conference.
 
Northwestern struck first early in the game with a fifth minute goal from outside of the box. From that point on, the game was dominated by the Tigers. 
Tessa Woodcock scored first for the Tigers just before the end of the first half. Woodcock's 44th minute goal was assisted by 
Barbara Pascale. Just after the halftime break, Ouachita scored again. 
Bryson Rial received a cross from 
Marley Zochert in the 47th minute and calmly placed it into the back of the net.
 
Ouachita dominated the game offensively. The Tigers accumulated 32 shots over the course of the game. 
Bryson Thomas led the team with eight shots, while Kacey Smith also contributed with five.
 
The Tigers also played well defensively. Goalkeeper 
Erin Webster was only forced to make 3 saves, while the Tigers only allowed 12 shots.
 
The Tigers will look to continue their good form on Oct. 4 against Harding. The game will kick-off in Searcy, Ark. at 5 p.m.
