ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - The Ouachita Tigers' volleyball team defeated Southwestern Oklahoma State by a final of 3-1 (25-22, 25-12, 17-25, 25-20). It was the Tigers fifth-straight win and moved them into a tie for the top spot in the Great American Conference standings.
Kori Bullard finished with 17 kills, tying a career high, and five blocks.
Stormi Leonard finished with 40 assists, eight digs and four blocks.
Ashley Wake was one of four Tigers to recorded double-digits in digs, leading the team with 22.
The Tigers hit .233 in the match with Bullard leading the way with a .455 attack percentage. She committed only two attack errors on 33 attempts. She hit .800 in the fourth and final set, scoring Ouachita's final three points on two kills and a solo block.
Adrianna Nolly and
Katie Camp finished with 10 and nine kills respectively. Nolly led the Tigers with three kills in the third set, while Camp's three kills were a team high in set two.Â
Defensively,
Ashley Wake averaged 5.5 digs per set to lead the team.
Nikki Clay,
Jayme Shell and
Anna LeTourneau all finished with 12 digs each.Â
The 16-5 Ouachita Tigers improved to 8-3 in conference and 9-2 at home. They will face Harding on Oct. 27 in Searcy. Ark. Both teams are tied for the lead in the GAC standings.Â
