ARKADLEPHIA, Ark. – The Ouachita Lady Tigers' basketball team fell to Arkansas-Fort Smith on the road by a final score of 87-67. The loss came despite four Lady Tigers scoring in double-digits. Ouachita's record now stands at 3-5 on the season.
The Lady Tigers kept the game close for the first quarter, but UAFS went on multiple runs in the second quarter to give the Lions a 49-32 halftime lead. Ouachita was never able to make a comeback and lost the game by 20.
The Lady Tigers were led offensively by
Chasidee Owens. The freshman came off the bench to score 13 points and accrue 6 rebounds. Three other Lady Tigers –
Alivia Huell,
Bria Caldwell, and
Madison Brittain – scored 12 points each. The Lady Tigers were able to get to the free-throw line 25 times, but were harmed by their 18% three-point shooting.
Ouachita's next game will be played against Blue Mountain College at home on December 16.
