ARKADELPHIA, Ark. –The Ouachita Baptist women's soccer team won their first game of the conference season by a final of 2-0 over Southern Nazarene University in Bethany, Okla.
Dina Harper and
Alyssa Hardan scored as the Tigers improved to 1-4-1 on the season.
The Tigers started off strong by scoring in the 4th minute.
Kasey Smith passed the ball to
Dina Harper, who shot from 23 yards out to score her first goal of the season. The second Ouachita goal came in the 83rd minute from
Alyssa Hardan.
Barbara Pascale crossed the ball into the box where Hardin was able to double the Tiger lead.
Defensively, goalkeeper
Erin Webster performed well by accruing 10 saves and leading the Tigers to a shutout.
Ouachita will continue their conference schedule on Saturday in Shawnee, Okla. The Tigers will play Oklahoma Baptist University at 1 p.m.
