The Ouachita Tigers' men's basketball team comfortably defeated Henderson State at home in the Battle of the Ravine by a final score of 76-60. The Tigers rode a 20-6 first half run to a big halftime lead and never looked back. The Tigers' record improved to 8-5 overall and 6-3 in the Great American Conference with the win.

The Tigers started the game slow, falling behind 14-6 early in the game. But a big three-point basket from
Mahlon Martin sparked a 20-6 run for the Tigers which saw them leading 32-20 with three minutes left in the first half. Ouachita carried that lead into the break, with the score standing at 37-26 at halftime.
Justin McCleary led the Tigers with eight points in the first half.

Ouachita continued their dominance into the second-half, leading the Reddies by as much as 17. The Tiger lead only dropped to single-digits one time in the half. A big part of the Tigers' second half dominance was their aggressiveness on both ends of the court. The Tigers accumulated 19 free-throw attempts in the second half, making 16 of them.

Ouachita was led offensively by
Justin McCleary, who scored 17 points, including three three-pointers. Three other Tigers,
Isaiah Harper (16),
Lakee Westbrook (13), and Carven Holcombe (10), also scored in double-figures. Harper led the Tigers with an impressive 14 rebounds, including seven from the offensive glass.
Jordan Corbitt had 5 assists in the game.

The Tigers will host conference leader Arkansas-Monticello on Jan. 19. Tip-off will be at 7:30 p.m.
