The Lady Tigers opened the game on a roll. A three-point basket by Madison Brittain with four minutes remaining in the quarter sparked a 10-2 run which saw the Tigers secure a 21-14 lead at the end of the first quarter. The Reddies tightened the Ouachita lead throughout the second quarter and took their first lead since the early moments of action. Kori Bullard led the Tigers in first-half points with seven.

Henderson started the second half with a 12-2 run, resulting in their largest lead of the ballgame with four minutes remaining in the third quarter. The run was halted after Alivia Huell made two free-throws and Bria Caldwell forced a turnover and made a fast-break layup to switch the momentum. The Lady Tigers took the lead back from Henderson with thirty seconds left in the third quarter, but a Henderson jumper tied the game at 55 heading into the fourth quarter. The fourth quarter was a back-and-forth affair which saw four ties and six lead changes. The Tigers took the lead with five minutes remaining in the game and held it until the dying seconds when Torrie Thompson made a jump-shot for the Reddies to give them the victory.
