ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – The Ouachita Baptist volleyball team (11-8, 4-4 GAC) picked up a monumental win Friday night as the Tigers defeated East Central (4-17, 0-8 GAC) in three sets. The 25-23, 25-13 and 25-15 victory handed Coach
Danny Prescott his 200
th career win at Ouachita.
The Tigers held East Central to a .132 hitting percentage and 30 kills while smashing 47 kills on a .293 hitting percentage. Ouachita also finished with 63 digs, 45 assists, five blocks and four aces in route to breaking a two-game skid.
Kori Bullard led the way for Ouachita with 12 kills and four blocks. She now sits just 25 kills away from joining the Tigers' 1000 career kills club.
Adrianna Nolly also closed out the match with 12 kills while teammate
Tabatha Huckabee collected nine kills on the night.
Stormi Leonard led all players with 40 assists and
Nikki Clay picked up a team high 14 digs.
The Tigers will be back in action tomorrow afternoon as it hosts Southeastern Oklahoma State. The conference match is set to start at 1:30 p.m. inside the Sturgis Physical Education Center.
