ARKADEPHIA, Ark – The Ouachita Tigers' softball team fell to Northwest Missouri in its fourth game of the UAM 8-State Classic by a final score of 8-1. The loss drops the Tigers' record to 6-4.
Kelsey O'Brien was the starting pitcher for the Tigers. O'Brien pitched four innings and only allowed one earned run. Northwest Missouri also scored two unearned runs while O'Brien was on the mound. The Tigers committed four errors in the game.
Jordan Fielder led the Tigers from the batter's box with 2 hits and an RBI.
Northwest Missouri opened the games' scoring in the first inning with an unearned run.
Jordan Fielder responded in the second inning with an RBI double to tie the game. From that point on, however, NW Missouri dominated. The game finished with a score of 8-1.
The Tigers will continue play in the 8-State Classic for the remainder of the weekend.
