ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Tigers out score Northwestern Oklahoma State University 11-2 in the last three minutes of the game to win on a
Mahlon Martin jumper, 62-61.
Martin, the senior guard, led Ouachita in scoring with 15, rebounding with six and assists with four.

Wesley Franklin all added nine points in the game as the Tigers win their second straight game.
The Tigers allowed the Rangers to go on a 6-0 run, but
Kendarious Smith ended the streak on a jumper at the 16:29 mark. After going down 15-5, the Tigers went on a run lead by
Mahlon Martin and Wesley Fanklin. Ouachita pulled within two points on an
Allie Freeman layup with 10 minutes left in the half.
Kendarious Smith put in a layup with less than a minute left to cut the lead to four; however, NWOSU would go into the half up by six, 30-24.
The Tigers came out of halftime aggressively scoring six straight points capped off by a
Trey Harris jumper tying the game. The Rangers would create a six point lead that the Tigers erased on a three point play by
Eric Brown and a three by
Allie Freeman with 12:20 left in the game. Ouachita would tie the game up at 46 with a three by
Trey Harris at the nine minute mark.
The Tigers would go down by eight at the three minute mark on a Ranger three pointer. However, free throws allowed the Tigers to get back in the game without wasting clock.
Mahlon Martin who ranks fifth in the nation in free throw percentage did not disappoint as he knocked down four straight free throws to cut the lead to four at 59-55.
Trey Harris then came up with a steal and layup to cut the lead to two with 44 seconds left in the game. The Tigers forced another turnover which lead to a
Mahlon Martin three with 30 seconds left to give the Tigers their first lead of the game at 60-59. A bucket by the Rangers would set up one of the greatest shots of the year by
Mahlon Martin who knocked down a free throw line jumper with 1.6 seconds left to give the Tigers a 61-60 victory.
