ODESSA, Texas – Ouachita Tigers Men's and Women's Swim and Dive suffer defeats to the University of Texas Permian Basin.
 
The Women's team fought hard against UTPB but fell in the end 185-92. 
Anastasiia Ulianova and 
Ariana Rizo led the Tigers each capturing two first place finishes at the meet.
 
Starting with the 200 yard medley relay, the Tigers captured a second place finish behind the team of 
Erica Tatom, 
Jade Ashley, Ulianova and Rizo. 
Sydney Parker then took a second place finish in the 200 yard freestyle; her first race of the season.
 
Ulianova placed first in the 100 yard IM during the next women's event as 
Erica Tatom followed her up with a third place finish in the 100 yard freestyle. In the 50 yard backstroke 
Sydney Parker captured a third place finish with a time of 30.04.
 
In the 50 yard breaststroke, 
Ariana Rizo place first which was followed by 
Anastasiia Ulianova's second first place finish this time in the 200 yard IM. 
Courtney Myers and 
Camilla Howarth then came in second and third in the 100 yard backstroke. Rizo tallied her second first place finish with a 1:11.00 in the 100 yard breaststroke.
 
The Men's Swim and Dive team saw a great input by 
Sebastian Bustillo a top four finish in each of his four races. The Tigers, however, succumbed to UTPB with a score of 256-47.
 
Ouachita started the meet with a third place finish in the 200 yard relay by the team consisting of 
Jacob Ragsdell, 
Mitchell Lee, 
Joe Ragsdell and Bustillo. Bustillo then put in a fourth place finish and a third place finish in the 100 yard butterfly.
 
Jacob Ragsdell took home third in the 50 yard backstroke as 
Lucas Riley and 
Mason Youngblood tied for fourth at 28.09. Bustillo took away another fourth place finish in the 200 yard IM while 
Alex Noel also took a fourth place finish in the 100 yard backstroke.
 
Bustillo captured the highest place for the Tigers on the day with a second place finish in the 50 yard butterfly with a time of 24.68.Ouachita rounded out the meet with a third place finish in the 400 yard medley relay with the team of 
Alex Noel, 
Mitchell Lee, 
Sebastian Bustillo and 
Joe Ragsdell.
 
The Tigers will be back in action at Henderson State on Friday, Oct. 25 at 6:00 p.m.
