BETHANY, Okla. – Tigers Women's Soccer uses two first half goals to secure their fifth conference victory and sweep the 2019 series with the Southern Nazarene Crimson Storm.
Ashlyn Heckman broke through the scoreless game for the Tigers with a 37 minute goal in the first half. Her shot was a rocket off of her right foot and allowed for Ouachita to capture the lead which they did not surrender the rest of the game.
The second goal came less than ten minutes later as
Sydni Perry fired in a shot off of an assist from Heckman. Perry's goal was one of three shots that she had on the night.
The Tigers in total put in 22 shots in the match with seven being on goal. Freshman
Josilyn Kispert led Ouachita in shots with seven while
Gracen Turner, Heckman and Perry each had three.
Both of the Tigers goal keepers played in the match with the senior
Erin Webster drawing the start. Webster completed the first 45 minutes of play for Ouachita accounting for six saves.
Michele Snow finished the game out for the Tigers recording two saves in her 45 minutes of play.
The Tigers will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 26 at 10:00 a.m. as they face off against Oklahoma Baptist in Shawnee, Okla.
