ARKADELPHIA, ARK—Coming off a 27-13 victory in the freezing rain at Southern Nazarene University, the Ouachita Tiger football team will head to El Dorado, Arkansas for the 11
th annual Murphy USA Classic against the Southern Arkansas University Muleriders this Saturday November, 2.

Last week, the Muleriders came from behind after trailing by nine points in the fourth quarter to beat East Central University 24-23. East Central led in stats across the board but couldn't respond after a Southern Arkansas 35-yard field goal with 5:24 to play, which sealed the Mulerider victory.

Mulerider Scouting Report

Offense: This year, Hayden Mallory sees himself in the QB1 role for the first time as a Mulerider. Against East Central he passed for 202 yards on 13 completions, and one touchdown. On the season he is averaging 12 completions, 187 yards and about 1.5 touchdowns per game. Mallory's game is primarily through the air as he has -8 yards rushing on the year.

The ground game is not lacking though. The Mulerider running back core is three-deep, led by Kor'davion Washington who has 764 yards and six touchdowns on the season, 140 of those yards came last week against East Central, marking his fourth game this year with over 100 yards on the ground. Last week running back Dennis Daniels had 28 yards and one touchdown and OB Jones had five yards.

Defense: Fourth quarter defense came up clutch as in the last six minutes of play against ECU, Southern Arkansas forced two big stops. The Muleruder defense is led by Malik Preston who against East Central recorded 11 tackles, Brock Floyd who added 9 tackles and DeMarcus Pegue who recorded 6 tackles and 1 sack.Â

Last week, against Southern Nazarene, A stout second half pushed the Tigers to Victory.Â

Offense:
Brockton Brown led the offensive attack for the Tigers with 20 rushes for 157 yards and three touchdowns, including a 60-yard touchdown rush with 2:47 to play in the third quarter.Â
TJ Cole also had a big day with 15 carries for 89 yards and a touchdown. Because of the less than ideal weather conditions, quarterback
Brayden Brazeal only attempted eight passes throughout the whole game.

Defense:Â Ouachita's defensive unit came out of halftime on fire flying around to the football. In the third quarter the Crimson Storm had a net of -3 yards total. Overall in the second half the Tigers only allowed SNU to put up 24 yards to close out the game.

Oshae Pruitt who put in 10 tackles on the day.
Keandre Evans had another great game recording eight tackles and blocking an extra point.Â
Terrell Gibson made big plays in the second half from the linebacker position putting in six tackles including a tackle for a loss.
