ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – On Senior Day the Tigers showed out defeating the Northwestern Oklahoma State Rangers with a final of 2-1 at Kluck Field.
Jaymee Dotson scored the game winning goal for the Tigers off of a corner kick set play. The corner was set up by a shot from Dotson moments later that was knocked out of play by the Ranger goalie. The corner was taken by
Carmen Scott who picked up the assist a week after being named GAC Defensive Player of the Week.
The Tigers tied things up on a goal at the 70 minute mark by senior
Alyssa Hardan.
Sydni Perry placed a pass at the feet of
Jaymee Dotson who rocketed a pass to Hardan who then sent it past the keeper.
Neither team broke the 0-0 tie for the first 60 minutes of play until the Rangers connect on a goal by Whitney Blanchard.
Ouachita had a busy offensive game putting in 22 shots with 15 of them being on goal. Nine different Tigers had shots on the day being led by
Ashlyn Heckman, Perry and Dotson who combined for 12 shots, ten of which were on goal.
Erin Webster was in goal for the Tigers on her Senior Day. She saw only nine shots from the Rangers. She added five saves on the day helping the Tigers to victory.
