The Tigers would come out of the half firing on all bullets starting with a Mahlon Martin three pointer 16 seconds into the half. The Tigers comeback featured Mahlon Martin and Matthew Ward who would be the only two to score for the Tigers in the first 9:40 of the half. In that time frame they would outscore the whole Southern Arkansas team 25-10 and tie the game at 44. The Tigers would then use a 9-0 run capped off by a Matt Stanley layup to take a 51-44 lead. Extending their lead to 10, the Tigers would take their first double digit lead with 2:55 left on a Wesley Franklin jumper. Ouachita would finish the game with a Morris Talbert layup, Mahlon Martin free throws and a Kendarious Smith free throw taking a 68-57 victory.
