ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Ouachita Tiger's Softball dominates first game and drops the second of the double header splitting the series with Southwestern Oklahoma State.

In the two games combined
Macy Wilson went 2-4 batting in five runs including a walk-off grand slam in the first game.
Marissa Butler picked up her second win in consecutive days as she threw a three hit shutout.
Jillian Jones went 3-4 in the first game batting in two runs and improving her batting average to .397 on the year.

"
Marissa Butler pitched lights out for us this weekend picking up two wins.
Mabry Smith settled into the second game pitching well for us in relief. In our first game we put it all together with our fielding, batting and pitching to secure the win. We will continue to make improvements as we gear up to play Northwestern Oklahoma State next weekend," says Interim Head Coach Leslie Dean.

In the first game Ouachita would strike first as
Jillian Jones would bat with the bases loaded in the bottom of the third innings. She would single home
Callie Jourdan and
Tobi Finley to give the Tigers a 2-0 lead.
Marissa Butler would only have allowed one hit heading into the fourth inning of play.

In the bottom of the fifth the Tigers would break the game open.
Macy Wilson would start off the scoring for Ouachita as she would hit a sacrifice fly to center field scoring
Kyndal Moyer. Two batters latter
Leighton Withers hit a bomb over the center field fence scoring two runs on the play and giving the Tigers a 5-0 lead.

In the bottom of the sixth inning
Natalie Jackson would get on base with a single up the middle.
Madison Miller would get on base after being hit by a pitch, and
Jillian Jones would load the bases with an error by the first baseman. That would lead to
Macy Wilson hitting a walk-off run rule grand slam over the left field fence.

In the second game the Tigers would go down 4-0 in the first four innings, but
Mabry Smith would enter in relief and pitch three innings of no hit baseball including four strikeouts. In the bottom of the seventh the Tigers would start a potential comeback as
Brooke Taylor would hit a double off of the left field wall.
Tally Turnbow would pinch hit and walk for the Tigers.
Natalie Jackson would single to right field scoring Taylor. However, the Tigers could not push the other two across the plate and drop the game 4-1.

The Tigers return to action on March 22 against Northwestern Oklahoma State in Alva, Oklahoma.
