Russellville, Ark. – The Ouachita Tigers lost a tough game to the Arkansas Tech Wonder Boys for a non-conference game 10-0 in eight innings.
Abe Young started on the mound for the Tigers and threw three and two-thirds innings, giving up five runs on six hits. He also recorded two strikeouts and gave up two walks.
Ouachita struggled offensively and only saw two hits in the game from
Logan Huneycutt and
Tyler Riebock. However, the Tigers did pick up five walks and a hit-by-pitch in the game, but left seven runners on base. Arkansas Tech totaled 13 hits and 10 runs against the Tigers, including four extra-base hits.
Tyler Riebock has now reached base at least once in the last 15 games, along with
Aaron Studdard in his last nine. Riebock also has one or more hits in his last seven games, forming a seven-game hitting streak.
The Ouachita Tigers will host Oklahoma Baptist University at Rab Rodgers stadium on Friday and Saturday for their next conference games.
