SEARCY, Ark. – Tigers Softball fight hard against the Bisons but fall in the end to Harding 5-4 in game one and 3-1 in game two.
Jillian Jones led the way for the Tigers going 3-6 in the day while driving in two runners. The Tigers would also get a strong contribution from
Natalie Jackson who would go 2-6 with a solo homerun in the first game.
The Tigers would start the first game off with a bang.
Callie Jourdan would kick things off by singling through the left side of the infield. She would advance to second on a
Natalie Jackson sacrifice bunt before
Tobi Finley would single put Jourdan on third. Jourdan would score after Finley would steal second base and an error on the third basemen.
Macy Wilson would walk and then
Jillian Jones would blast a double down the right field line scoring Finley and Wilson.
After the Bisons would tie the game up in the bottom of the fourth,
Natalie Jackson would send a solo homerun to left field breaking the tie. However, the Bisons would score again in the bottom of the fifth. The Bisons would then walk off the game on a homerun, and the Tigers would fall 5-4.
In the second game the Tigers struggled to get their bats going. The Bisons would use a homerun in the bottom of the first inning to go up by a score of 3-0.
Madison Miller would send a solo shot to center field to lead off the third inning and cut the lead to 3-1.
In the top of the fourth the Tigers would put runners on first and second after a single and an error. However, the Tigers would end the inning with a ground out, strikeout and pop out. The Tigers would only get one more hit the rest of the way and would fall in the second game 3-1.
The Tigers and Bisons will be back in action tomorrow as they will end the series with a double header at 1:00 and 3:00 PM.
