Bahloul Throws Shutout Against Bisons

ARKADELPHIA, Ark.- Ouachita Baseball use a huge complete game shutout by Adam Bahloul to split the double header with Harding taking game one 4-0 and dropping the second game 13-2.
 
Bahloul pitched nine scoreless innings only allowing five hits striking out six in the process. At the plate Louis Steen led the Tigers going 3-7 on the day driving in two runs.
 
The Tigers put their first run on the board in the first game in the bottom of the third inning. Tyler Riebock reached first on a walk then stole second base. He crossed the plate on a single by Louis Steen to left center field. In the bottom of the fifth the Tigers plated another run after they loaded the bases on a walk and two singles. Riebock sent a fly ball to left field as McBride tagged up at third and scored.
 
The Tigers sealed it in the bottom of the sixth as Hunter Gautreaux started the inning off with a walk. Bo Sutton then doubled to right center putting runners in scoring position. Logan Huneycutt would score Gautreaux with a single through the right side. Ben Swanger reached on a fielder's choice scoring Sutton and giving the Tigers a 4-0 lead, which is all they needed for the victory.
 
In the second game the Tigers fell down to the Bisons by 10 runs going into the bottom of the sixth inning. However, the Tigers did not quit in the game with Pierce Mitchum starting the bottom of the inning by hitting a ball off of the wall in left center field. Aaron Studdard used a sacrifice fly to push Mitchum across the plate scoring the Tigers first run. Tyler Riebock sent a shot of his own to the right field wall landing him at second base. Louis Steen drove him home on a single to give the Tigers their second run on their day.  The Tigers fall in the end with a score of 13-2.
 
The Tigers will be back in action tomorrow as they face off with the University of the Ozarks at 2:00 PM.
