CLARKSVILLE, Ark. – Ouachita Baseball put in nine hits scoring four runs in the first two innings, but they fall in the end 8-5.
Aaron Studdard led the Tigers with two hits, scoring twice and driving in a run in the process.
Tyler Riebock added his conference tying twelfth homerun of the season with a two-run blast.
Bo Sutton and
Logan Huneycutt also added RBIs on the day.
In the first inning
Aaron Studdard started things off for the Tigers with a walk.
Tyler Riebock then sent a shot over the right field fence giving the Tigers a 2-0 advantage.
Hunter Gautreaux reached second base on an error by the center fielder then scored after a
Logan Huneycutt single.
Hunter Gautreaux started the game on the mound for the Tigers in his first career start in the Purple and Gold. He made quick work of the Ozarks in the first inning as he struck out a batter, caused a ground out and a fly out.
In the second
Chris Willard secured a one-out walk setting up
Aaron Studdard to triple him home on the next at bat. The Tigers over the next three innings surrendered seven runs to the Ozarks and trailed 7-4.
To lead off the fifth inning
Aaron Studdard singled to left field advancing to second on a
Tyler Riebock bunt. Studdard crossed the plate two batters later on a
Bo Sutton single to center field.
Tommy Foster pitched two shutout innings for Ouachita to close the game. The Tigers, however, dropped the game in the end 8-5.
Ouachita will hit the road this weekend as they face off against Southern Arkansas in their last road weekend off the season.
